Seafarers Physiotherapy Network

The Society has been working with Harbourside Clinic in Newlyn since 2007, offering physiotherapy to local fishers. This is now a well-established and extremely effective service for both fishers and merchant seafarers in the West Cornwall area.

The Physiotherapy Network has been extended and we now have members in Cornwall, Devon, Scotland and Northern Ireland who provide treatment to working fishers and merchant seafarers. They are trained and supported by the team at Harbourside to provide a holistic and preventative approach to physiotherapy services for fishers and merchant seafarers. All treatment costs are covered by the Seafarers Hospital Society.

Connect PhysioLine

Since 2011 the Seafarers Hospital Society has been funding free physiotherapy for working seafarers run by Connect Health. The service is available to merchant seafarers and fishers throughout the UK.

To access the service phone Connect PhysioLine on 0191 247 5000 to speak to a physiotherapist for advice and support. If they think you need hands-on treatment they will arrange for you to see someone locally, at no cost to you.
